Monash University
Shaun McKenna was engaged by the Department of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering at Monash University to design and produce a series of eight A1 posters depicting engineering graduates. The posters were for display at the university’s Open Day in August.
Shaun did two photo shoot’ sessions, one on-site at the university and one at various business locations in the city and elsewhere. The purpose of these sessions was to get a range of shots of each individual `at work’ to illustrate the industries and roles that engineering graduates work in after completing their undergraduate degrees. All the photos were posted on the Shaun’s website for all parties to review and nominate their preferences.
A selection of photographs for each individual was chosen and Shaun then designed the layout of the eight posters within the Monash University marketing guidelines and specifications.
Throughout the process Shaun consulted with the eight individuals and me and provided design concepts, proofs and final copies. At all times he was helpful, co-operative and willing to accommodate any requests for changes etc. He was also able to meet the strict specifications and tight timelines.
The end result was eight individually designed posters that were eye catching, informative and conveyed the desired messages to prospective engineering students. Responses received from visitors on Open Day certainly indicated that the posters were well received and met our marketing objectives.
